You Don’t Have to Carry This Alone

Uncertainty around immigration status can affect every part of life — emotional well-being, physical health, relationships, and a sense of safety. You may be coping with fear of family separation, the psychological effects of abuse or violence, the aftermath of persecution, or the stress of navigating a legal system that feels overwhelming.

Whatever brings you here, you are in the right place.

At Mind, Body, & Soul Counseling, immigration evaluations are approached with care, respect, and clinical integrity. The goal is to provide a clear, professional assessment that accurately reflects your psychological experience and supports the needs of your immigration petition.

Clinical Framework & Philosophy

Evaluations are conducted from a trauma-informed and somatically aware perspective, recognizing that immigration-related stress and trauma often affect both emotional functioning and the nervous system.

Psychological immigration evaluations are conducted with clinical objectivity, independence, and a trauma-informed framework. Each evaluation is carefully prepared to support the psychological components of an immigration petition while adhering to ethical and professional standards.

Each evaluation is tailored to the individual’s legal context and psychological history, with the goal of producing a clear, thorough, and professionally written report suitable for legal submission.

Our work emphasizes:

  • Careful attention to psychological symptoms and functional impact

  • Respect for cultural, relational, and contextual factors

  • Objective clinical documentation aligned with USCIS standards

  • Clear, professional language that supports legal review

I am a trauma-informed clinician with specialized training in conducting psychological immigration evaluations. Each evaluation is approached with care, confidentiality, and clinical rigor, with the goal of producing a thorough and well-documented report that can support your USCIS application.

I recognize that immigration proceedings can be emotionally demanding and deeply personal. Many individuals navigate fear, uncertainty, and the pressure of high-stakes decisions while still holding hope for safety and stability. My role is to provide a respectful, supportive, and structured evaluation process where your experiences are taken seriously and documented with accuracy and care.

Throughout the process, my priority is to ensure that you feel heard, treated with dignity, and supported within a professional and trauma-informed framework.

My focus includes:

  • Ensuring accuracy and clinical clarity in every evaluation

  • Offering timely turnaround options to accommodate court or filing deadlines

Why Are Immigration Evaluations Helpful?

Psychological immigration evaluations provide a comprehensive clinical assessment of the emotional and psychological effects related to an individual’s immigration circumstances. These evaluations offer professional documentation that may strengthen a petition by clearly describing hardship, trauma impact, and functional impairment—factors that are often difficult to convey through legal forms alone.

How Can an Immigration Evaluation Support My Case?

An immigration evaluation offers an objective clinical perspective on the psychological and emotional challenges associated with your situation. By documenting symptoms, functional impact, and emotional distress, the evaluation can add depth and credibility to your case and assist your attorney in presenting a more complete and well-supported petition to USCIS.

Who I Work With

Immigration Attorneys

I collaborate with immigration attorneys to provide thorough, well-documented psychological evaluations that align with legal strategy and case requirements. Through clear communication and attention to case-specific details, I deliver reports that strengthen legal arguments and support effective USCIS submissions.

Immigration Clients

I work directly with individuals seeking immigration relief, offering a confidential and respectful space to share their experiences. Evaluations are conducted thoughtfully and professionally, with the goal of helping clients feel informed, supported, and prepared as they navigate the immigration process.

I provide evaluations for the following types of applications:

  • For extreme hardship waivers or cancellation of removal cases, a psychological evaluation can be a powerful piece of evidence to show that a relative would suffer extreme hardship if they were separated from the applicant or if the relative leaves the US and relocates to another country to remain with the applicant.

These evaluations focus on the emotional and financial impacts on your family, helping to make your case for staying in the U.S.

  • In political asylum cases, an individual has been subjected to mistreatment and abuse in their country of origin due to their political beliefs, religious affiliation, ethnicity, or gender. These evaluations highlight the emotional and psychological effects of past trauma and the risks you face if returned

  • The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) provides immigration benefits for individuals (all genders) who have been physically and/or mentally abused by their U.S. citizen spouse. Evaluations focus on the abuse's emotional effects and your need for safety,

  • In a U visa case, a psychological evaluation is to evaluate the psychological effects of a serious crime. The goal of the psychological evaluation is to assess the extent of serious physical, mental, or emotional consequences of the experience.

  • T Visas are for victims of human trafficking. Evaluations document the trauma experienced and your efforts to escape and assist authorities.
