Training & Experience

My desire to uplift and support others goes back to when I was a pre-teen and enhanced around 20 years-old. I always knew I wanted to help others and pursue a career and lifestyle in doing so.

I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC which aided in my education of human behavior. I went on to pursue a Master of Science in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling at Walden University in Minneapolis, MN. I continue to engage in more specific therapeutic trainings that will help strengthen my knowledge of the mind-body connection in therapy.

During my Master's program, I was a counseling intern at at a local community mental health center in Philadelphia, PA where I provided individual, family, and group counseling..

Throughout this academic and professional experience, I was practicing yoga in my personal life to keep me grounded and focused. I always loved how refreshed and rejuvenated I felt after a yoga class where I "left it all on the mat". In 2020, I received my certification as a yoga instructor through My Vinyasa Practice, a teacher training program in Austin, Texas and Trauma Yoga Certification through The Trauma-Conscious Yoga Institute. In 2021, I received my 100-hour meditation teacher training from YogaMu Institute.

Today, I am taking my knowledge, experience and passion to bring mental health to the yoga mat for women and BIPOC. I offer virtual private Yoga+Therapy where I combine these two into one personalized session for you!
